A small firm people stay with

Marlo Laubscher Attorneys was established in 2006 and has practised in Paarl since 2012. We are more than 20 years in practice.

Some of the clients who came to us in our first year are still with us today. We think that says more about the way we practise than any list of credentials could.

We have deliberately kept the firm small. Three people. No middlemen. The attorney handling your matter is the attorney you deal with, directly, throughout.

We use modern tools and work efficiently. But our approach is simple and enduring: know your client, know your matter, and take proper care of both.

Modern in how we work. Personal in how we practise.

About The Firm

The services we offer

Thirteen services across property, family, estates, commercial work and disputes, all handled in this office rather than referred on. Whichever you need, the first consultation is free.

Why people choose us

Rooted in Paarl

Marlo Laubscher matriculated at Gymnasium High School in Paarl and returned to practise in Paarl in 2003. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Paarl and chairs the Board of Directors of Butterfly House.

We know Paarl — its courts and Municipality — and, importantly, they know us. That local knowledge and familiarity can make a real difference when something needs to move.

A boutique firm, deliberately

Three people. One office.

You deal directly with the attorney handling your matter. You are not passed from one person to another to fit a schedule, and you do not have to explain your situation again when someone else picks up the file.

We handle thirteen areas of practice in-house rather than referring matters elsewhere. So when a matter involves a property, a business and a will, it stays with one firm, one team and one conversation.

That continuity is not incidental. It is how we choose to practise.

The first consultation is free

Come in, explain the situation, and find out where you stand before deciding what to do next. If we believe the matter is not worth pursuing, or that another firm is better placed to handle it, we will tell you.

You should not have to pay a lawyer to discover that.

Your first consultation is free

Tell us what you are dealing with and we will tell you honestly whether we can help,
what it is likely to cost and how long it should take. No obligation either way.

Questions our clients ask us

Is the first consultation really free?

Yes. You can come in, explain your situation and find out where you stand before deciding anything.

Where are you based?

7 Pastorie Avenue, Paarl. Open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30.

Who will I actually deal with?

An attorney. Your matter is handled by the attorney you deal with from the start, rather than passed down to someone else once the file is open.

Which courts do you appear in?

The Magistrates' Court, the Regional Court and the High Court. Criminal matters in Paarl and Wellington, and maintenance matters in Paarl, Wellington and any Maintenance Court in the Western Cape.

Can I reach you outside office hours?

For an arrest, yes. Criminal matters do not keep office hours and neither do we.

How long has the firm been going?

The firm was established in 2006 and has practised in Paarl since 2012. We are more than 20 years in practice.
